Inspired by a trip to Washington, D.C., the concept was born when the owner realized Columbus was missing something fresh, fast, and full of flavor. When Banks Food Hall opened in 2020, he knew it was the right time and place to bring poke to the Chattahoochee Valley.
Backed by 30+ years in the sushi scene—including as the owner of the beloved Mikata Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar—Poke Sun’s founder works closely with trusted seafood vendors to deliver unmatched freshness. Every bowl starts with your choice of base and protein, from spicy tuna to Scottish salmon to wild-caught shrimp, then gets loaded up with vibrant veggies, house-made sauces, and bold toppings like chili flakes, furikake, or crispy garlic.
